Our brand promise is Makes Work Life Better™. Dayforce is currently seeking a Full-Time Salaried Bilingual (French and English) Payroll Delivery Manager I to join our Dayforce Managed Team. The role focuses on collaborative leadership of Payroll specialists for an assigned book of clients, supporting the complete employee life cycle including payroll, workforce management, benefits, and contact center. The ideal candidate will have strong client relationship management, support process sustainability, indirect management of payroll specialists, and a consultative partner mindset. They will have in-depth working knowledge of US/Canadian payroll, year-end processing, project management, and a proactive ownership attitude. What You’ll Get To Do Manage a broad scope of day-to-day operations with agility and through continual change. Maintain oversight across multiple internal actions, items and work to resolve within tight deadlines. Ensure quality control and auditing to maintain accuracy and a low error rate; lead continuous improvement efforts. Ensure adherence to contracts and SLAs by measuring and monitoring quality. Think ahead, spot opportunities, and contribute to process improvements to increase value. Act as a subject matter expert on Dayforce and client information; make recommendations to internal and external leaders. Track workflow processes, manage tasks and remove bottlenecks to meet timelines. Recommend resource utilization for maximum efficiency. Support existing and new clients and internal teams throughout client life cycles. Assist in project planning, rollout, and cross-functional training. Plan and coordinate operational tasks and readiness for Parallel and Dry Run Testing. Guide Payroll Specialists to the necessary tools; provide coaching and training. Establish standards and best practices; draft standard operating procedures. Prepare and present metrics, business reviews, processes, changes to internal/external stakeholders. Foster positive internal/external relationships with teams and partners. Provide world-class customer service across all aspects of the role. Promote cross-functional training and build networks of internal partners. Maintain deep knowledge of products, payroll, and offerings; communicate clearly with clients and leaders. Own deliverables and projects from start to finish. Approve payrolls following compliance guidelines before processing. Maintain year-round compliance and controls; conduct periodic audits of payroll and tax setups for legislative compliance. Manage quarter- and year-end processes with the payroll team and internal partners to ensure accurate, timely payroll. Qualifications and Skills We Value Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken) is a must. Minimum 3 years of payroll knowledge and experience in high-volume payroll operations; end-to-end Canada and/or US payroll experience (balancing, quarter end US, ROE CA, tax, garnishments, legislation & year end). End-to-end payroll experience with strong analytical and technical skills is a plus. Meticulous planning, organizational and problem-solving abilities for client-level payroll items; positive change management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to engage leadership, internal partners and customers. Bachelor’s Degree desired or equivalent work experience. Enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and optimistic attitude; strong team-player in high-pressure, fluid situations. Ability to travel intermittently. Flexible work schedule to support clients and team; availability to support operational hours 8am–8pm EST; weekends and public holidays may be required. Standout Qualifications Canadian payroll certification highly desired. Experience with Canadian payroll highly desirable. Enthusiasm for collaboration and teamwork.
