*** 100% remote work, based in Ontario / GTA *** Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing current key customers accounts within Canada produce marketplace in the value-added lettuce known as Fresh Attitude and Folia brands. This role involves maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth. The Key Account Manager will work closely with the National Sales Director to develop and implement strategic sales initiatives that align with the company's KPIs while increasing organizational visibility coast to coast. Although the role is home office based in Ontario, Travel will be required on a regular basis to the Montreal sales office/campus and to Western Canada customers in addition to local client sites and industry events as required to build and maintain relationships and stay informed about market trends. Main responsibilities Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with key clients Identify and pursue opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts and acquire new accounts Maximize the impact of its actions on turnover, prices, competition and prospecting Gather information to develop a market strategy Work closely cross functionally to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives and ensure the client is served flawlessly Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of products. Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed sales targets/KPIs including working with customers to develop, execute, and monitor annual promotional plan strategies Negotiate contracts and pricing (including delivery of required pricing increases/decreases) with clients to maximize profitability while maintaining strong client relationships Advantages and benefits offered Knowledge and skills sought Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, agriculture or a related field More than five (5) years of experience of experience in account management or sales with major Canadian retailers, preferably within the produce or fresh food industry Proven ability to lead client account needs with a “growth focused” mindset Excellent critical thinking & negotiation skills with ability to close deals Can identify repetitive issues and align key stakeholders on resolution plans Ability to analyze market trends and sales data using sources such as Neilsen/POS data/market insights an asset Strong business acumen A self starter with the ability to work autonomously, as well as strong collaboration skills working with cross functional teams Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) Has a valid driver's license and a passport and is available for travel (CAN/US) #J-18808-Ljbffr
