Magnet is helping our client, a privately owned CPG Food Organization, look for a Regional Account Manager to join their team and lead business development efforts calling on a variety of Regional Head Offices in the Wholesale, Distribution & Small Retail Chain segment. In this role, you will be an important part of the Canadian Retail Sales Team and will be able to impact the success of the business unit through leadership and management of wholesale customers across Western Canada, specifically in the Calgary, Edmonton & parts of Saskatchewan region . Responsibilities: Achieve profitable sales growth within various wholesale customers and small chain retailers. Establish business relationships, work with customers to develop account plans and priorities. Responsible for driving product distribution, product display and overall incremental volume at various retail outlets. Clear, concise & timely communication to all stakeholders, acting professionally as the face of the organization at a head office level. Be the territory expert, aware of emerging customer trends, opportunities, challenges and operational procedures. Review sales data and apply knowledge of the territory to identify sales opportunities. Gain, solidify, and maintain product distribution across all company categories. Ensure that all authorized items are in distribution at retail stores. Experience: Post-secondary education is required Minimum of 2+ years CPG sales experience in the retail grocery industry in Canada required Experience with syndicated data (Nielsen/Customer Data) is preferred Working with wholesale customers considered a plus Excellent communication skills including negotiation and presentation skills Proficiency in computer technologies (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
