Medical Director - Promotional Medical Communications We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to join our commercial medical communications team. This role is ideal for a strategic scientific leader who excels in developing impactful, scientifically accurate, and creative content that supports clients’ brand objectives across multiple channels. Base Pay Range $150,000.00/yr – $170,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities Serve as the scientific lead across assigned commercial accounts, ensuring high‑quality, strategy‑aligned content. Partner with account and creative teams to translate complex data into engaging communication materials. Lead scientific strategy development for promotional medical education, brand messaging, and campaign materials. Oversee and contribute to creation of deliverables such as slide decks, digital assets, visual aids, training materials, and symposia content. Review and approve content for scientific accuracy, balance, and compliance with client and industry standards. Provide medical insight and training to internal teams and clients. Stay current on therapeutic landscape, emerging data, and competitor activity to inform content and strategy. Support new business efforts through scientific input, pitch participation, and proposal development. Qualifications Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) required. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in medical communications, with a strong background in commercial/brand work. Demonstrated ability to lead scientific strategy across multiple accounts or therapy areas. Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, solutions‑oriented approach. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced agency environment managing multiple priorities. Preferred Experience Experience in oncology, immunology, rare disease, or specialty pharmaceuticals preferred.
