Reporting to the National Medical Director, this role combines clinical expertise with operational insight to partner with our operations team, medical directors, and cross‑functional leaders to support hospital success and deliver sustainable business results. The successful candidate will embody our company values, bring a solution‑oriented perspective, and serve as a trusted advisor to both medical and operational leaders. What You’ll Be Doing Advance Quality of Care – Facilitate rollout of a quality‑of‑care framework, collaborate with hospitals to evaluate and improve medical practices, and support consistent implementation of standards of care. Support Hospital Operations – Partner with Medical Directors to apply tailored strategies for hospital success, serve as a thought partner and subject‑matter expert for Field and Hospital Leadership, and participate in regional and national events to foster community engagement. Ensure Regulatory Compliance – Monitor and maintain compliance with provincial and national veterinary regulations, conduct compliance audits, identify gaps, and support teams in sustaining alignment. Doctor Attraction and Retention – Collaborate with the NMD, People, and Recruiting Teams to develop initiatives that foster belonging, professional satisfaction, and career growth for veterinary professionals. Facilitate Learning – Empower veterinary teams through meaningful training opportunities, coordinate mentoring, facilitate peer‑to‑peer support networks, and promote continuous learning at all levels. Drive Operational Excellence – Contribute to the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), monitor KPIs, provide insights, and support hospital teams in achieving both medical and operational goals. Promote a positive culture and an environment of psychological safety. What You’ll Bring To NVA Canada Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited school. Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice veterinary medicine in Canada. 6+ years of clinical experience. Proven leadership and management experience in veterinary practice or multi‑site operations. Strong understanding of veterinary regulations, standards of care, and clinical workflows. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills. Willingness to travel within the region (approximately 40%). French language skills are an asset but not required.
