Overview At Rebel, we’re reinventing ourselves. We were early adopters of cloud technology (AWS since 2016) and continue to evolve our infrastructure. We seek a proactive, hands-on system administrator to support our live production environment and cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities Provide second-level support for websites, applications, and email services. Handle occasional after-hours incidents (about 1–2 per week). Maintain and improve hosting platforms like Plesk, Managed WordPress, Virtuozzo VPS. Own and optimize infrastructure including AWS, Ghost, etc. Support customer migrations and monitor system performance. Troubleshoot issues, resolve them efficiently, and monitor costs. Administer Linux/Unix and Windows systems. Manage databases such as MSSQL and MySQL. Develop scripts using Bash, Python, Perl, or JavaScript. Utilize infrastructure-as-code tools like AWS OpsWorks. Contribute to process improvements and documentation. Qualifications Strong systems administration skills with a focus on scalable infrastructure. Deep understanding of network protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, SSL, firewalls, load balancers. 5+ years in DevOps or sysadmin roles in Linux and Windows environments. Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, ELB, EBS, S3, RDS, Route53). Proficiency in scripting and automation. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and CI/CD practices. Focus on performance, optimization, and reliability. Collaborative attitude and willingness to support team members. Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
