Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Montreal, QC. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities with contractors, distributors, and project developers across North America, with a focus on cold climate heat pump solutions. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting sales presentations and product demonstrations, preparing proposals, and negotiating agreements. The role also involves building and maintaining long-term partner relationships, tracking market trends and competitor activity, and collaborating with internal teams on pricing, product positioning, and promotional initiatives. The Business Development Manager will work closely with technical and operations teams to ensure accurate project scoping, timely delivery, and ongoing support for key accounts.
- Base salary position transition into Full Commission Qualifications Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and account growth. Bilingualism French and English Experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, energy efficiency, or related building technologies, preferably with heat pumps or renewable energy solutions. Ability to build and manage partner networks, including contractors, distributors, and project developers. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, practical terms. Proficiency with CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic data analysis to track performance and inform strategy. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines. Comfort working on-site and in the field, including occasional travel to customer locations, job sites, and industry events. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Knowledge of the Canadian HVAC market, utility programs, or government-funded energy transition initiatives is an asset
