Ontario, Canada The New Network Full time

About the Role Our client, a rapidly growing cybersecurity SaaS company operating in the security, risk, and compliance space, is hiring a Business Development Representative to support the continued expansion of its go-to-market team. This role is focused on outbound prospecting and early-stage qualification with mid-market and enterprise organizations in high-trust and high-risk industries. You will work closely with Account Executives to build pipeline through relevant, well-researched outreach to security and compliance stakeholders. The role offers exposure to enterprise SaaS sales in complex buying environments, with a strong emphasis on understanding how security, risk, and compliance buyers evaluate solutions and how opportunities are shaped early in the sales cycle. This position includes a clear path into an Account Executive role as the sales organization continues to scale. What You Will Do Own outbound prospecting into mid-market and enterprise accounts Engage security, risk, and compliance stakeholders through a mix of outreach methods, including phone, email, and LinkedIn Use cold calling to start conversations, qualify interest, and set up discovery meetings Research target accounts to understand security posture, compliance drivers, and potential risk exposure prior to outreach Run thoughtful, relevant outreach that prioritizes quality conversations Qualify inbound and outbound interest and book high-quality discovery meetings for Account Executives Partner closely with Account Executives on account strategy, messaging, and meeting preparation Maintain accurate activity tracking and notes in the CRM Required Superpowers Experience as a BDR or SDR in a SaaS environment Comfort engaging prospects across multiple outbound channels, including phone, email, and LinkedIn Ability to hold confident, professional conversations with senior, often skeptical buyers Strong written and verbal communication skills Curiosity about cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or privacy Ability to research accounts and tailor outreach rather than rely on generic scripts High level of ownership, discipline, and accountability This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing cybersecurity company at an important stage of its go-to-market journey, where Business Development plays a meaningful role in shaping pipeline and engaging security-focused buyers. The role offers depth, responsibility, and the chance to build long-term expertise in enterprise security sales.
