Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to support our facilities and plastic manufacturing operations.
General Function:
Reports directly to theOperations & Continuous Improvement Manager and responsible for assisting the manager in carrying out his/ her duties, safe and efficient operation of the equipment / machinery and other duties as assigned.
Safety:
Your first and foremost priority is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all employees; your role to this end is critical.
- Read the Company safety manual and policies.
- Practice good safety habits.
- Comply with Company Policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
Quality:
Quality is everyone's responsibility. Know your part in the ISO 9001:2015 Quality System.
Productivity:
Maintain efficiency of the department.
Specific Duties:
- Complete work orders as assigned by Manager.
- Perform assigned day to day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.
- Check and record Molding Machine fluid levels, refill as needed daily.
- Maintain a clean and environmentally safe facility.
- Perform daily rounds to inspect machine hours and oil levels.
- Indoor and Outdoor painting (Various).
- Cleaning around machines.
- Monitor and Maintain water treatment system.
- General grounds keeping duties as needed, including coordinating of cleaning, snow removal and landscaping operations.
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Follow safe work practices and comply with all regulations.
- Assisting and supporting in all technical areas, where required.
- Run Grinder (as needed).
- Machine Operator (as needed).
- Water Testing (as needed).
- Ability and knowledge in operating power tools, hand tools, and other tools required to assist with completion of required tasks.
- Other duties as required.
Hours: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
