Summary

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Helper to support our maintenance team in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our manufacturing production facility. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining equipment, performing minor repairs, and supporting preventive maintenance tasks compliant environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist maintenance technicians in performing routine and preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • Support repair activities for machinery, HVAC systems, and utility equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools, parts, and work areas.
  • Perform basic building maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, assembling shelves, minor plumbing tasks).
  • Help monitor equipment for signs of wear or malfunction and report issues to the maintenance team.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Keep accurate maintenance logs and assist in updating documentation as needed.
  • Perform other general support tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Team Lead.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience in a fast paced, manufacturing environment with machinery.
  • Material handling and warehousing.

Education & Experience

· Grade 12 Diploma preferred.

  • Valid Forklift License (propane forklift)
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems is an asset.

Physical Requirements

  • Are comfortable standing/walking for long periods.
  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or maintenance role preferred
  • Ability to lift and move loads over 50lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
