About this role
Wildpack is seeking a talented Accounts Payable Specialist to provide operational and financial management support. We are looking for a confident, detail-oriented accounting professional who excels at multitasking. This position will be responsible for data entry, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices for accurate and timely payment while ensuring approval policies and purchasing procedures are followed as well as other accounting tasks as needed. The AP Specialist will report directly to the Accounting Team Lead 

A day in the life: What you do 

  • Support with managing the AP Inbox, responding to vendor inquiries in a timely fashion 
  • Monitor accounting entries to ensure accurate and timely posting 
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable data to verify entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Reconcile AP Aging reports against Vendor Statements, including corresponding with vendors and responding to inquiries concerning payment, invoice issues and credits
  • Process transactions in compliance with accounting policies and procedures for trade partner payment applications, material invoices, and G&A expenses
  • Maintain and reconcile credit card statements while ensuring payment deadline for maximum reward rebate
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH transfers, and wire payments based on payment terms and company cash flow
  • Maintain vendor files and ensure W-9s and other documentation are up-to-date; including contact information, payment terms and tax identification numbers
  • Prepare reports as requested by Accounting Team Lead
  • Act as a point of contact between internal departments and accounting, serving as a liaison between accounting and external parties, including clients, suppliers, and lenders
  • Coordinate timely and accurate month-end close while ensuring adherence to schedules, deadlines, and budgets
  • Use ERP System Odoo to enter information ensuring that all financial records are complete and accurate
  • Perform additional duties as directed by Accounting Team Lead

Qualifications: What you know 

  • 3+ years of AP, AR or Accounting experience is preferred
  • Full understanding of the A/P, AR and PO processing cycle required
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills with customer service orientation
  • Must be able to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Ability to read and understand various AP reports in order to resolve any discrepancies  
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate high levels of self-initiation and direction
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees, vendors, suppliers
