Real Estate Legal Assistant/Law Clerk

simplyclose Law is currently seeking a Real Estate Assistant/Law Clerk to join our dynamic team of professionals.

Primary Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of residential and commercial purchase, sale and financing transactions;
  • Order and interpret title and off-title searches including identifying potential requisitions and responses to requisitions;
  • Assess and resolve title issues including analyzing and summarizing registered encumbrances;
  • Draft statement of adjustments for residential and commercial transactions;
  • Obtain and review title insurance policies and endorsements;
  • Draft and review all necessary closing documents; and
  • Prepare reporting letters and accounts to clients following completion of files.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple priorities efficiently;
  • Proven ability to handle high volumes of tasks with precision and efficiency;
  • Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Ability to excel both collaboratively within a team and independently;
  • Ability to use good judgment and discretion when responding to issues or requests, in a professional and customer-service oriented manner.
  • Possess technical skills and willingness to learn new software.
  • Prior experience in Real Estate Law is an asset but not required - we welcome candidates eager to learn.
