About the Role

Econoair Heating & Cooling Inc. is looking for a motivated and reliable HVAC Installer Helper to support our installation teams on residential and light commercial HVAC projects. This role is perfect for someone who is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and wants to grow within a fast-growing, reputable HVAC company.

You will work alongside experienced installers to assist with installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, tankless water heaters, humidifiers, and other HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead installers with HVAC equipment installation, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork.
  • Help load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment on job sites.
  • Run and secure refrigerant lines, PVC venting, drains, electrical wiring, and thermostats under supervision.
  • Cut, measure, and fabricate sheet metal transitions and fittings.
  • Support the removal of old HVAC systems and preparation of job sites.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and Ontario TSSA safety standards.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
  • Perform basic tasks such as drilling, mounting brackets, vacuuming linesets, and assisting with start-ups.
  • Learn and develop HVAC technical skills for future advancement to Installer or Service Technician roles.

Qualifications

  • Previous HVAC or construction experience is an asset.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to lift 50–80 lbs (equipment, tools, materials).
  • Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, in basements, and in attics.
  • Valid G driver's license with a clean record (preferred).
  • Ability to work full-time hours and occasional overtime during peak seasons.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
