Atomic Cartoons Inc. is an award-winning animation studio with locations in Vancouver's Mt. Pleasant Animation District, Ottawa's Hintonburg neighborhood and Los Angeles. Since its inception over 25 years ago, Atomic Cartoons has created and produced numerous 2D and CG animation productions including Princess Power and Last Kids on Earth. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Provide updates, priorities, schedules, and status of all shots to artists and show leadership.Ensure Flow Production Tracking (Shotgrid) statuses and task assignments are updated and maintained.Coordinate and package shot deliveries, including submission documentation.Document decisions and requests, and ensure items are tracked and managed appropriately.Ensure department teams are clear on daily delivery objectives.Ensure effective communication between teams and production.Communicate any schedule changes to appropriate stakeholders and escalate to Supervisor/Producers as needed.Monitor and control progress, issues and prepare reports if needed.Ensure work is being approved, completed on time and to specification.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

2+ years of coordinating in an Animation or VFX studio.Experience with Flow Production Tracking (Shotgrid).Experience coordinating the Lighting and Compositing department on a CG/3D animated series.Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to connect with a wide variety of personalities.Able to remain focused on the big picture without losing track of the details.Able to take direction and multi-task.Flexibility - no two days may be the same.Technically savvy and proficient.Prior experience coordinating the CG FX department on an animated series is an asset.Currently legally eligible to work in Canada.

START DATE:  January 2026


- Applicants must have resided within BC as of December 31, 2024 and be able to provide the appropriate supporting documents.
- All Atomic employees in this role have the opportunity to work remotely within BC, artists within Vancouver and the Lower Mainland can also choose hybrid and in-studio options. 


At Atomic Cartoons and Thunderbird Entertainment, we take into consideration a wide range of compensation factors including background, skills, location, and experience to determine competitive pay. In addition to competitive pay, this position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits including medical, GRSP, vacation pay, paid holiday break, paid leave, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Please note: This expected pay range is for British Columbia and is not applicable to locations outside of the province of British Columbia.

Wage ranges are based on a weekly rate.

Vancouver Pay Range $1,100—$1,350 CAD
