Our Client is an employee-owned, award-winning, architectural practice firm with a proven track record in practical, innovative and economical design. During a history spanning over 60 years, our client has designed some of Canada's most notable buildings.
They serve both Canadian and international clients with the immediacy and attention of a local service. Their design influence can currently be found in eight of Canada's provinces, and in Nunavut.
The employee-owned firm is staffed with well over 100 experienced architects, designers, project managers, administrative staff, including LEED, Evidence-Based Design and LEAN accredited professionals, many of whom are dedicated to specific market sectors. They believe in personalizing the design experience for clients and maintaining a hands-on approach to projects. Every project they undertake has the direct involvement of Directors and Principals. Promoting mutual trust, they address the full scope of a facility's operational requirements, from addressing technology and space needs to optimizing everyday movements, as well as employee health, well-being and productivity. Role
The BIM Coordinator will oversee day to day BIM operations for a project team, working with production staff, the project manager, consultant and trade partners. Responsibilities will include:
- Help developing and maintaining project BIM Execution Plan.
- Managing and monitoring Data Sets (Room, Doors, Windows, etc)
- Perform Revit Models maintenance:
- Recreating models once a week,
- Checking Models for Revit warnings and proper view organization and other Revit/BIM standards,
- Purging unused families, groups, etc.
- Assisting project team with troubleshooting/training.
- Implement workflows in the project with support of the office BIM Manager.
- Assist on project BIM coordination and clash detection meetings.
- Sourcing and maintaining project content with help of the office BIM Manager.
- Coordinating with other consultants Revit/BIM Models.
- Coordinating the handover of information at project milestones.
- Work with Project Managers to align production team expectations and meet submission dates.
In addition to BIM Coordination responsibilities, this person will also contribute to project production and coordination efforts.
Strong communication skills and experience as BIM Coordinator on a multi-person project is required. Minimum 5 years of Revit experience required, and basic knowledge of programs such as DRofus, Dynamo, Enscape and CTC Tools are a benefit.
