Summer Student, Operations Business Systems Analyst

THE ROLE:

Working with our Digital & Technology Services team in Calgary, this will be a full-time student position from May through August 2026. During your summer, you will gain exposure to the energy industry by attending sessions hosted by subject matter experts and will have an opportunity to showcase your learnings with your student network. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

• Contribute to the design, implementation and configuration of software applications used by our oil and gas technical functions
• Develop, maintain and support integrations between software applications using a variety of programming languages and approaches
• Support project team members in developing business process maps, screen designs and reports
• Assist with the preparation of documentation including system requirements documents, user acceptance testing documents, system reviews, training materials, system configuration documentation, etc.
• Assist the team with system upgrades and testing
• Assist with organization change management including training coordination, schedules and logistics
• Other special projects as required

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program at a post-secondary institution in Canada, and must be returning to undergraduate studies after the work term
• Enrolled in Bachelor of Computer Information Systems, Computing Science or Bachelor of Commerce (with Information Systems focus), or other similar post-secondary program
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Power BI
• Exposure to oil & gas industry software applications is an asset
• Ability to troubleshoot/isolate software issues
• Proficiency writing and executing SQL statements
• Self-motivated with ability to show strong initiative while working on tasks
• Ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with your team, peers, and diverse business groups
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time and data management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
