Summer Student, Risk and Marketing Analyst

THE ROLE:

Our summer student program provides an opportunity to experience real-world challenges, collaborate with diverse teams, network with other students and create a vision for your future career path.

Working with our Financial Reporting team in Calgary, this will be a full-time student position from May through August 2026. During your summer, you will gain exposure to the energy industry by attending sessions hosted by subject matter experts and will have an opportunity to showcase your learnings with your student network. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

• Provide daily updates of commodity market pricing data
• Create daily risk reporting of marketing positions, exposures and results
• Confirm natural gas and foreign exchange transactions
• Assist in developing and maintaining models for natural gas and LNG transactions
• Assist in set-up of new businesses in the Marketing ETRM system
• Provide support with other ad-hoc credit, risk management, and insurance projects as needed

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program at a Canadian post-secondary institution, and must be returning to undergraduate studies after the work term

• Enrolled in Bachelor of Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or other similar post-secondary programs

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with strong Excel skills
• The ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with your team, peers, and diverse business groups
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time and data management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
