Overview

Overhead Door Experience only. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and repair work, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to garage door systems. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain various types of garage doors and openers.
  • Diagnose issues with garage door systems and provide effective solutions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents related to installations.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during repairs.
  • Perform carpentry tasks as needed for custom installations or repairs.
  • Apply caulking and other materials to ensure proper sealing and insulation.
  • Assist in building custom garage door frames or structures as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at job sites.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Skills in carpentry, drywall installation, tile laying, welding, or similar trades are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers professionally.
  • A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
  • Commitment to safety practices while on the job.
