DASHINGDATE Content Manager Job Overview

About the Role:

As our content manager, you own planning, filming, editing, and publishing of primarily short-form videos for Dating Expert and founder of Dashing Date, Kavita Ajwani. The primary platform is Instagram (@dashingdate) and you'll repurpose content across YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn, and you'll post natively with clear KPIs. We're looking for someone based locally in Montreal. We may also consider applicants from Ottawa and/or Toronto.

You'll

  • Write strong hooks, scripts, captions, and carousels
  • Coordinate and direct shoots to capture authentic, on-brand content
  • Edit Reels (short form content) to ensure (expertise) pacing, storytelling, and tone alignment
  • Generate titles, thumbnails, descriptions, end screens
  • Design and post text carousels, testimonials, and story content that drive engagement and growth
  • Research trending topics, audios, and creative styles native to Instagram
  • Repurpose content to other platforms (YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn)
  • Manage the content calendar and track results to refine strategy
  • Build and organize an evergreen content library

You Have:

  • A portfolio showing Reels or short-form videos you fully own
  • Strong copywriting instincts, can craft scroll-stopping hooks and captions
  • A deep understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual rhythm
  • Knowledge of trends, audience psychology, and retention strategies
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Tools: CapCut, Final Cut, or Adobe Suite; Canva; ; Dropbox; Meta Business Suite
  • A collaborative, fast-moving mindset with high creative standards
