Position Overview
We are seeking a curious, hands-on Marketing Specialist to execute campaigns driving awareness through to lead generation. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you'll execute projects and campaigns across a variety of channels, including social, PR, email, print, digital channels, and more.
This role is perfect for someone who loves the outdoors, thrives in a growing company, and wants to grow in experience across marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign & Sales Support
- Create and distribute emails and newsletters to engage, nurture, and convert leads.
- Collaborate with the graphic designer to edit, update, and review sales collateral, conference materials, and other assets that support the sales team.
- Support the Director of Marketing to ensure timely follow-up, consistent messaging, and alignment with lead-generation goals.
- Monitor and route inbound leads from social media and other channels to the sales team in a timely manner.
- Research to expand contact lists and support business development efforts.
- Execute advertising campaigns across selected platforms, track performance metrics, and optimize placements in line with strategic guidance from the Director of Marketing.
Content & Digital Presence
- Collaborate with the SEO Manager and coordinate with team members across the organization to execute, write, edit, and review website copy, blog posts, and more to inform and convert prospects.
- Collaborate with the SEO Manager to ensure content is optimized for search visibility and lead generation.
- Create captions for existing videos and imagery and post social media content to social channels to drive reach and engagement.
- Maintain accurate, on-brand messaging and imagery across all touchpoints.
Project Management
- Manage timelines and task lists, tracking progress to meet deadlines.
- Communicate updates and feedback clearly to team members and key stakeholders.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
Performance & Reporting
- Use tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics, and platform insights to monitor performance.
- Track key metrics and report results to the Director of Marketing.
- Provide recommendations based on results and trends in the marketplace.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate to 5 years of marketing experience (open to mid-career marketers ready to grow).
- Strong writing and editing skills required; portfolio or samples are encouraged.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms, social scheduling tools, or basic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe) is a plus.
- A degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field is nice to have but not required.
- Strong project management skills including goal setting and timeline management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative and receptive to feedback, comfortable working in a growing company.
- A self‑starter attitude with an ability to deliver high‑quality work with minimal supervision.
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Curious and eager to learn with a passion for the outdoors and a desire to support community‑focused projects.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment in marketing.
- Willing to travel up to 25% for conferences, events, and project support.
