Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the food industry while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation according to restaurant standards
- Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and timely delivery
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist in plating dishes and garnishing for visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts
- Support team members during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling procedures
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper kitchen hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if required
- Basic understanding of serving, meal preparation, and kitchen operations within the food industry
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service through quality food presentation and timely execution
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
