Are you a trusted cybersecurity expert who enjoys leading clients through complex security challenges?

We are looking for an energetic and client-orientated Security Consultant for our Edmonton branch. You will be a member of our Service Delivery team and work on multiple projects with various clients. You will build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, while providing consultancy services for the design and implementation of industry leading network solutions as well as help organizations strengthen their cybersecurity posture. In this role, you will design and implement solutions across key cybersecurity domains and advise clients on best practices aligned with industry standards and frameworks. Your expertise will drive practical, actionable outcomes that align with each client's unique environment and risk profile.

A Day in the Life:
  • Design and implement end-to-end security solutions with a strong focus on Microsoft security technologies, including Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Purview
  • Lead security assessments, threat modelling, and incident response planning using Microsoft's security ecosystem
  • Deploy and configure Microsoft Sentinel for SIEM/SOAR use cases, including data connector integrations, analytics rules, and automation playbooks
  • Implement and advise on Microsoft Purview for data governance, compliance, and information protection
  • Guide clients in deploying and optimizing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Cloud Apps, and Office 365
  • Support the development of secure architectures using industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS) and Microsoft best practices
  • Collaborate with clients to tailor solutions to their risk posture, regulatory obligations, and cloud strategy
  • Provide mentorship to junior consultants and maintain strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders
What You Bring:
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Security, including exposure to Managed Security Services
  • Proven track record delivering complex security projects in client-facing roles
  • Strong technical knowledge in scripting, development, and foundational network/security concepts
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms and a broad range of security vendor technologies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement and confidently recommend enhancements to client environments
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to mentor junior team members

  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a bonus

$115,000 - $130,000 a year Expected Salary Range plus 10% Variable earnings
