Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and assisting with various dental procedures. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about dental health and eager to grow their skills within a professional environment. Prior experience with dental software such as Tracker, as well as previous office experience will be prioritized.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Take x-rays
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software (Tracker)
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle administrative tasks related to patient flow
- Assist with billing, insurance claims, and other front-office duties as needed
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and IPAC regulations
Experience
- Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred
- Familiarity with dental software Tracker is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Experience working as a dental receptionist or in a clinical support role is a plus
- Certification in dental assisting or related field is preferred but not required
- Ideal candidate will have up-to-date HARP certification
- BLS training is required
