Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, experienced dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Administrative Assistant to join our small female-run dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of our dental practice. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and familiarity with dental office procedures.

This is a temporary role that may lead to a permanent position.

Preference will be given to candidates with dental experience or experience in accounts receivable and insurance payments.

A positive and friendly attitude is vital for this position

Responsibilities

  • Answering phone calls and making phone calls to patients
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Taking insurance information and ensuring accuracy
  • Taking and recording patient co-payments
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker dental software
  • Scanning and faxing of documents
  • Contacting insurance companies on behalf of patients to ensure claims have been accurately paid
  • Inputting insurance payments in Tracker dental software
  • Contacting patients that have outstanding balances in a friendly manner

Candidate Attributes / Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Knowledge of dental terminology
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records software; experience Tracker in preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members effectively
  • Ability to de-escalate and remain calm in stressful situations
  • A positive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Hours

Standard Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm with occasional Friday and Saturday availability.
