Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to lead and manage infrastructure projects involving bridges, culverts, and related civil works. The successful candidate will oversee projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and manage civil engineering projects, including new construction, rehabilitation, and inspections.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including structural engineers, environmental specialists, and CAD designers.
  • Lead proposal preparation, cost estimating, and resource planning.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and guidelines (e.g., CSA S6, OPSS, MTO requirements).
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, reports, and technical documents.
  • Monitor project performance and prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance where needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as deemed necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree considered an asset).
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or CET.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification considered an asset.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, including project management experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering municipal and/or MTO projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario's environmental, transportation, and construction regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and engineering design tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites across southern and eastern Ontario.

Salary range:

$105,000 to $115,000 per year commensurate with experience
