A term adjunct position is open at the Smith School of Business for an instructor to teach at our main campus in a lecture-style undergraduate course in the Commerce program. The position is to teach Program Management– Comm 495 in the fall term. Teaching Comm 495 will generally include teaching twenty-four "one-and-a-half hour" sessions from September to December 2025. The successful applicant will be required to teach 100% of one section of Comm 495 with a maximum enrollment of 55 students.

The course is described as follows:

Project management is the engine that drives meaningful change in businesses. This course is designed for students wanting to lead change in this fast-paced digital age or broaden their understanding of the digital landscape. Throughout this course, we will dive into the essentials of project management, covering areas such as project initiation, planning, and effective value delivery, focusing on implementing digital technologies. We will also explore how Agile methodologies can optimize the delivery of high-impact products. By the end of this course, you will have a strong foundation in project management principles and develop a project manager's mindset, preparing you for project management certifications.

The open section for COMM 495 has been scheduled in the Fall term as follows:

Tuesday's 1:00pm - 2:20pm & Thursday's 11:00am - 12:20pm

Compensation

The salary for a term adjunct teaching one section of a course in our Commerce program is $13856, which excludes vacation pay. This salary is pro-rated based on course credit.
