BDA Inc., formerly Brown Daniels Associates Inc., is a construction company specializing in renovations and additions. It was founded in 1997 by Principals Brad Daniels and Toccar Brown. Brad and Toccar built the company on their core values, to work ethically, respect our business partners, and to build long-term relationships with our trades, consultants and clients. These values still form the foundation of our company today. BDA Inc. has grown from its humble beginnings to a staff of over 80. We are currently looking for Concrete Formers/Finishers to join our team in Etobicoke, On.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with foreman and other team members and lead by example.
• Promote cooperation and commitment with the team towards the attainment of common goals.
• Operate hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, screeds, and grinders.
• Experience operating heavy equipment like a concrete mixer or concrete vibrator.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Builds, erects and sets forms for various concrete structures and foundations.
• Set, align, and dismantle concrete forms for footings, walls, slabs, curbs, sidewalks, and other structures.
• Place, level, smooth, and finish concrete surfaces to required specifications.
• Smooth and finish concrete by floating, troweling, edging and brushing in accordance with specifications and specified standards.
• Builds and/or takes apart bracing, barricades, forms, scaffolding, and temporary structures
• Assists with site prep work as necessary.
• Collaborate with team members on-site to ensure timely project completion.
• Perform rebar installation and concrete forming tasks.
• Ensure work meets project standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Apply curing compounds, surface treatments, and sealants as required.
• Repair and restore concrete surfaces as needed.
• Work collaboratively with crew members to meet deadlines.

Business Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Location: Etobicoke, On

Reports to: Vice President

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Concrete Former/Finisher.
• Knowledge of formwork systems, concrete finishing techniques, and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Physically fit and able to perform demanding tasks in outdoor environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation an asset.
• Experience in ICI projects is considered an advantage.
• Red Seal Journeyman Mason certification is considered an asset.
