Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, masonry, and related construction skills. This role involves working on various projects including restoration, renovation, and new construction, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. The Concrete Finisher will collaborate with other trades and utilize a variety of tools and techniques to complete projects efficiently and accurately.

Duties

  • Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve smooth, level, and durable finishes.
  • Install rebar and formwork according to schematics and blueprints to prepare for concrete pouring.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting, moving, and positioning materials.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects.
  • Perform masonry work, including caulking, flooring installation, and restoration tasks as needed.
  • Use carpentry skills for framing, form building, and other structural components related to concrete work.
  • Apply welding techniques when necessary for structural reinforcement or repairs.
  • Maintain safety protocols by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist with demolition or renovation projects by utilizing masonry, concrete forming, and other construction skills.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in concrete finishing, masonry, or related construction fields.
  • Mechanical knowledge of tools such as hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Skills in rebar installation, concrete forming, caulking, flooring installation, and welding are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of restoration and renovation processes within the construction industry.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
  • Prior experience with blueprint reading and schematics is preferred.
