Overview

The Donvito Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.

. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial management, reporting, and analysis, contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Duties

  • · Has ownership of reviewing, correcting and posting of car sales for two automobile dealerships.

· Reconciling and balancing sales accounts for multiple Operating Companies and multiple company software's.

· Commission calculations for employees across multiple companies and multiple divisions.

· Bank reconciliations for multiple Operating & Property Companies.

· Journalize day to day transactions.

· Maintaining Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations including accruals.

· Daily cash reporting.

· Monthly and Quarterly GST filings.

· Monthly PST + Payroll Tax filings.

· Journalizing payroll and Government Payroll remittances.

· Initiate and manage Intercompany transactions (Rents and property taxes)

· Review and approve Intercompany transactions.

· Assist and support the Year End Process.

· Income Statement and Balance Sheet analysis as required.

· Monthly Inventory analysis and associated Journal Entries.

· Periodic field audits as required.

· Support the AR & AP functions as required.

· Contribute to special projects and process improvements as required.

· Assist with IT requirements and modernization of business processes.

· All other duties as assigned.

Experience

· Automotive dealership accounting experience is a MUST.

· CPA Designation or later stages CPA PEP is an asset and will be given consideration over others.

· 5+ Years advanced + progressive Canadian accounting experience is required

· Strong technical knowledge of accounting

· Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

· Sage 50 experience is preferred

· Ability to multi – task in a very busy environment

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and succinctly to enhance working relationships

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
