The Executive Director of the BV Hospital Foundation is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to advance the Foundation's mission of supporting communities in the Bulkley Valley through fundraising, community engagement, and stewardship of resources. The Executive Director oversees all aspects of Foundation operations, including fundraising initiatives, donor relations, financial management, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the Foundation's goals and objectives.
- Foster a culture of philanthropy and community engagement Fundraising and Development:
- Design and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with donors and prospects.
- Oversee grant writing and management efforts to secure funding for hospital programs and initiatives.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the Foundation's annual budget in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
- Ensure the responsible stewardship of Foundation resources, including oversight of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Board Relations and Governance:
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to provide regular updates on Foundation activities and financial performance.
- Support the Board in fulfilling its governance responsibilities, including recruitment and orientation of new members.
Community Engagement and Public Relations:
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for the Foundation, representing its mission and values to the community.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including hospital leadership, community leaders, and partner organizations.
- Implement marketing and communication strategies to raise awareness of the Foundation's impact and accomplishments.
Qualifications:
- Experience in nonprofit management, business administration, or related fields preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or related field.
- Proven track record of success in fundraising, including major gifts, planned giving, and grant writing.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, set priorities, and execute plans to achieve goals.
- Experience working with boards of directors and volunteers.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the BV Hospital Foundation.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
