The Mount Pleasant Community Safety Society (MPCSS) Executive Director position offers a unique and exciting opportunity to lead and shape the continued growth of Mount Pleasant's community-focused policing initiatives. In this role, you will drive the organization's mission to create a safer, more connected neighborhood by providing strategic leadership, overseeing programs and services, and supporting the volunteers who are at the heart of our work.

Job Description

Strategic Leadership: As Executive Director, you will have the autonomy and authority to shape the direction of the organization, guiding programs and initiatives that make a meaningful impact in the Mount Pleasant community.

Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with a wide network of community partners, local government, law enforcement, and service providers, creating opportunities for collaboration and innovation.

Collaborative Leadership: Lead a team of staff and volunteers in a culture that values input, fosters professional growth, and encourages shared ownership of organizational success.

Mission-Driven Culture: Drive the organization's vision and mission while fostering an inclusive, supportive, and positive environment that prioritizes community impact and engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Organizational Management

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the Mount Pleasant Community Policing Society (MPCPS).
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and community priorities.
  • Supervise the Volunteer Coordinator and Program staff, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.

Community Engagement & Stakeholder Relations

  • Build and maintain relationships with residents, local organizations, law enforcement, and government partners.
  • Represent the organization publicly, promoting programs and initiatives through outreach and community engagement.

Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure organizational sustainability.
  • Support fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations to advance the organization's programs and services.

Governance & Reporting

  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to set organizational priorities, monitor progress, and report on performance.
  • Ensure accurate reporting on programs, finances, and organizational outcomes.

Continuous Improvement & Leadership

  • Identify opportunities for organizational growth, new initiatives, and strategic partnerships.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive culture among staff and volunteers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
