Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various telecommunication and networking systems. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment, supporting both residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure reliable communication infrastructure.

Duties

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Ethernet and computer networking systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work with telecommunication equipment including Cisco routers, telephony systems, and low voltage wiring.
  • Perform cable pulls, terminations, and testing for both data and voice networks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on communication infrastructure.
  • Assist with system upgrades and network expansions as needed.
  • Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble, install, and troubleshoot hardware components.
  • Follow safety protocols during installation and maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with electrical and telecommunication standards.
  • Document all work performed accurately in service logs and reports.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Ethernet cabling, computer networking concepts, and telecommunication systems.
  • Mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools for cable installation and hardware assembly.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, low voltage wiring, and safety standards.
  • Experience working with Cisco routers, switches, and telephony equipment.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunication infrastructure including fiber optics and copper cabling.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and network layouts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service and quality workmanship. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about technology infrastructure who thrive in hands-on roles that require technical expertise and attention to detail.

Pay: $38,104.33-$75,000.00 per year
