Position Summary

The Accountant will play a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This position is responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations, AP/AR, invoicing , and payment applications, as well as supporting the month-end close process. The Accountant will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain strong financial controls and deliver timely, accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

  • Prepare journal entries including accruals, prepaids, payroll, and other adjustments.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts (cash, AR, AP, deferred revenue, intercompany balances).
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations for management review.

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Enter approved vendor invoices into the accounting system.
  • Process approved employee expense reports.
  • Support timely vendor payments and maintain accurate AP records.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Prepare and issue client invoices in accordance with contracts and approvals.
  • Apply customer payments to ensure accounts are accurate and up to date.
  • Perform collections activities, including following up with customers regarding outstanding invoices.

Financial Reporting & Close

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring all entries and reconciliations are completed on time.
  • Provide detailed reconciliations and supporting schedules for audit and management review.

Qualifications

  • Experience working for a Cloud Software company
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation (completed or in progress) preferred.
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.
  • Experience with accounting software/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reconciliations).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams.
