Position Summary
The Accountant will play a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This position is responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations, AP/AR, invoicing , and payment applications, as well as supporting the month-end close process. The Accountant will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain strong financial controls and deliver timely, accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
- Prepare journal entries including accruals, prepaids, payroll, and other adjustments.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts (cash, AR, AP, deferred revenue, intercompany balances).
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations for management review.
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Enter approved vendor invoices into the accounting system.
- Process approved employee expense reports.
- Support timely vendor payments and maintain accurate AP records.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Prepare and issue client invoices in accordance with contracts and approvals.
- Apply customer payments to ensure accounts are accurate and up to date.
- Perform collections activities, including following up with customers regarding outstanding invoices.
Financial Reporting & Close
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring all entries and reconciliations are completed on time.
- Provide detailed reconciliations and supporting schedules for audit and management review.
Qualifications
- Experience working for a Cloud Software company
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA designation (completed or in progress) preferred.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.
- Experience with accounting software/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reconciliations).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams.
