Our client is a respected leader in Canadian real estate with a growing and diverse portfolio of mixed-use, commercial, and flagship retail properties. With a reputation for excellence in operations, tenant service, and long-term asset value creation, they are seeking a meticulous, motivated, and commercially minded Lease Administrator to support one of Toronto's premier urban portfolios.
Your Role

As the Lease Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of commercial lease documentation and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all related data. You will interpret leases, amendments, licences, and terminations, and ensure that all information is correctly reflected in systems such as Yardi or MRI.

Your work will involve maintaining key financial and operational lease information, monitoring critical dates, renewal options, rent adjustments, and occupancy costs, while also supporting compliance with the Ontario Commercial Tenancies Act. You will coordinate the lease execution process from initial review to legal completion, respond to inquiries from tenants and internal partners, prepare reports and summaries, and assist with documentation required for audits.

Throughout this process, you will work closely with Property Management, Legal, Construction, and Accounting teams to ensure smooth, timely, and accurate lease-related workflows across the portfolio.
What Sets You Apart

You are a detail-oriented lease administrator with a strong understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals and experience supporting mixed-use, commercial, or flagship retail environments. You have several years of experience in lease administration and are comfortable interpreting complex legal and financial documents.

You are familiar with the Ontario Commercial Tenancies Act and understand how HST applies within commercial leasing. You communicate clearly, work well with internal stakeholders and tenants, and can manage high volumes of information with accuracy and precision. You are proficient with lease administration software and comfortable navigating Yardi or MRI to maintain clean, reliable data.

Above all, you bring a highly organized, service-focused approach to your work and understand the importance of accuracy in supporting the financial and operational performance of a commercial portfolio.
