Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Barista/Cashier to join our team in creating a welcoming café environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, ensuring that each guest receives exceptional service while enjoying their favorite beverages and snacks. This role involves preparing high-quality coffee drinks, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for processing customer orders efficiently.
  • Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders accurately and answering any questions about menu items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining areas.
  • Handle cash transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and basic math calculations during sales.
  • Follow food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with health regulations during food preparation and serving.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee, food items, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction.

Skills

  • Previous barista experience or knowledge of coffee preparation is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
  • Proficiency in operating POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
  • Familiarity with food safety practices, food handling, and preparation techniques within the food industry.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.
