Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, a love for coffee, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and providing outstanding service to our guests.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items with precision and care.
  • Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including proper food handling and preparation techniques.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including equipment and workstations, to meet health regulations.
  • Engage with customers to provide excellent service, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations based on their preferences.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a balanced cash register.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Experience

  • Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
  • Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is a plus.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
