We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Vice Principal to support the Head of School in the leadership of our Torah Day School. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of teaching experience - preferably in a private school setting - a strong knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum, and an appreciation for Torah Day Jewish school culture.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the General Studies program, ensuring alignment with the Ontario Curriculum
  • Support, mentor, and coach teaching staff through observation, feedback, and professional development
  • Assist with curriculum planning, instructional improvement, and academic oversight
  • Support classroom management, student discipline, and student well-being
  • Collaborate on school operations, scheduling, events, and daily administrative functions
  • Participate in staff hiring, evaluation, and development processes
  • Assist with budgeting and resource allocation to support school priorities
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, staff, and community stakeholders
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and values-based learning environment that reflects Torah values and Jewish traditions
  • Support school-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing student achievement and engagement
  • When required, assume a limited classroom teaching role

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven teaching experience with strong classroom management and instructional strategies
  • Demonstrated instructional leadership and staff mentorship abilities
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum
  • Commitment to Jewish values and Torah Day school culture
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with staff, students, and families

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative, assistant principal, or leadership role
  • Experience with curriculum development and student support services
