We're Hiring

We are currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent position for a
Senior Communications Manager
in our Marketing Department at our Leamington ON location.

What You'll Do:

External Communications

• Develop and implement communications strategies that advance our mission of leading the indoor farming transition.
• Lead PR efforts to elevate Nature Fresh as a challenger brand and trusted partner in the produce industry.
• Serve as media spokesperson and manage agency relationships.
• Own crisis communications protocols to protect the company's reputation.
• Support corporate social media strategy, ensuring consistent voice aligned to our values of Care and One Team.

Internal & Stakeholder Communications

• Provide strategic counsel and direct support to the CEO and ELT, ensuring messaging reflects our values and vision.
• Partner with HR's Employee Communications & Engagement Manager to create engaging internal programs (CEO chats, townhalls, newsletters).
• Support cross-company alignment by translating complex strategies into clear, motivating communications.
• Lead development of stakeholder communications, including for investors, growers, and retail partners, reinforcing our commitment to Service.

Integrated Marketing Support

• Collaborate with Marketing teams (Content, Digital, Events) to deliver consumer-facing messaging that builds trust, category growth, and preference.
• Provide messaging frameworks for product launches, brand activations, and innovation — ensuring our Challenger Mindset comes through in-market.
• Translate consumer insights into communications that make the benefits of our products clear (taste, freshness, quality).

What you Bring:

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in senior communications, PR, or corporate communications.
• Demonstrated expertise in media relations, crisis communications, and executive counsel.
• Outstanding storytelling skills — must be able to link communications to enterprise goals.
• Strong organizational skills and experience managing agencies and budgets.

Preferred

• Experience in food, agriculture, or CPG industries.
• Knowledge of ESG and sustainability communications.
• Internal communications experience, including employee engagement programs.

• Office-based, collaborative team environment.
• Travel as needed for media, events, and retail/industry engagement.
• Hours may vary based on business and crisis communication needs.
• Primarily office-based role (sitting, standing, walking,) some lifting and bending.
