Job Description:

Responsible for the supervision of Front Desk duties. The Manager on duty works closely with all department heads to ensure an exceptional guest experience from check in to check out. They are the point of contact for any guest complaint or emergency.

Job Requirements:

  • Lead the front desk team, ensuring friendly and efficient guest service during all interactions
  • Handle guest complaints, winning the hearts of guests, not arguments
  • Help solve problems and answer any questions guests may have
  • Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance
  • Follow-up on pending issues
  • Make the best personal recommendations for activities and restaurants
  • Answer the phone, directing calls and taking reservations
  • Process guest arrivals and departures, including all necessary payments
  • Enter Wholesale bookings and confirm contracts with the sales team
  • Coordinate room assignments and pre-arrival packages
  • Works collaboratively and effectively with other departments to reach a common goal
  • Ensuring that standards, values, policies and procedures of Summit Lodge are being followed by the Front Desk team

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of previous experience as a front desk agent or a related role preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Property Management Software
  • Solid customer service skills
  • Passion to work in a team environment
  • Able to resolve disagreement and conflict
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Able to work mornings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays
