Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tractor Operator to join our snow removal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy machinery, along with knowledge of heavy equipment and snow maintenance . This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on, snow removal of large lots. The Tractor Operator will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of tractors and related equipment to support our snow removal team.

Duties

  • Ensure work areas are left clean, safe and accessible after snow removal is complete.
  • operate tractor and related snow-removal equipment (plows, blowers, loaders) to clear parking lots, sidewalks and other designated areas
  • Apply salt, sand or de-icing materials as needed rot ensure safe surfaces and conditions.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for repairs, adjustments, and equipment troubleshooting
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and operations, fuelling, checking lights, tires and attachment functionality
  • Follow assigned routes, schedules and safety procedures, including visibility and caution around pedestrians and vehicles

Requirements

  • Proven experience with heavy equipment operation, particularly tractors and other machinery
  • Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work with power tools effectively
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and snow removal
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods
  • Prior experience with snow maintenance, is a plus
  • Physical stamina for long hours of manual labor including heavy lifting and standing/ sitting for extended periods

Job Type: Seasonal

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
