Lead Pilates Trainer – Rstudios
Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia
Position Type: Full-Time classes per week + leadership responsibilities)

Our Pilates program is a core part of our studio, and we are looking for an experienced, passionate Lead Pilates Trainer to elevate our offerings, lead with inspiration, and support the growth of our instructor team.
About the Role
The Lead Pilates Trainer is responsible for delivering exceptional classes, mentoring and training instructors, and ensuring our Pilates program maintains the highest quality and aligns with Rstudios' brand standards. This role is ideal for an experienced Pilates professional who loves teaching, coaching, and developing others while also driving excellence within our studio.
Responsibilities
Teaching & Program Excellence (50%)
- Teach 10-15 classes per week
- Ensure that classes meet Rstudios' standards for experience, energy, and effectiveness.
Instructor Training & Development (30%)
- Mentor and support Pilates instructors through ongoing coaching, feedback, and evaluations.
- Assist in onboarding and training new Pilates instructors, ensuring they meet Rstudios' teaching standards.
- Conduct regular team sweats, workshops, and technique refinement sessions for the instructor team.
Leadership & Brand Alignment (20%)
- Ensure Pilates programming aligns with Rstudios' core values and overall fitness experience.
- Provide leadership and act as a key resource for Pilates instructors, fostering a strong and connected team.
- Support in scheduling, class planning, and programming to ensure variety and consistency in the Pilates schedule.
- Work closely with the Director of Programming to ensure seamless integration across all modalities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3+ years of experience teaching Pilates mat classes.
- Certified in Pilates (Mat certification preferred) and ability to innovate new classes and teach with music as a core focus.
- Proven leadership, coaching, or mentoring experience in a fitness setting.
- Strong ability to cue, correct, and inspire clients of all levels.
- Passionate about the Pilates method and dedicated to continuous learning and growth.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and leadership skills.
- Availability for a mix of morning, daytime, evening, and weekend classes.
