Product Owner – SaaS Application Development (Business Analysis & Project Management)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically adept Product Owner to lead the development of SaaS-based applications. This role requires a blend of business analysis, project management, and strategic decision-making to drive application development and deliver value to customers. As the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, you will play a crucial role in ensuring successful project execution, feature prioritization, and aligning solutions to business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Ownership:

2. Define and communicate the vision, roadmap, and goals for the SaaS application to stakeholders and development teams.

3. Own and prioritize the product backlog by translating business requirements into clear technical features in collaboration with development teams.

4. Business Analysis:

5. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements by working closely with stakeholders to understand organizational pain points and opportunities.

6. Identify inefficiencies, propose innovative solutions, and build business cases to support new application features and enhancements.

7. Ensure alignment of technical solutions with business goals.

8. Project Management:

9. Oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they remain on schedule, within scope, and on budget.

10. Coordinate and manage communication between cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and business leaders.
11. Monitor risks and issues, providing strategic resolutions to maintain project momentum.

12. Implement Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, to optimize workflows and foster continuous improvement.

13. Stakeholder Collaboration:

14. Act as the primary point of contact between business, technical teams, and customers to ensure expectations are met while delivering high-quality solutions.

15. Conduct regular progress reviews, sprint planning sessions, and demo presentations to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.

16. Work closely with C-suite executives to align application development initiatives with broader organizational goals.

17. Technical Understanding:

18. Collaborate with the development team to ensure technical aspects of the application (e.g., architecture, operations, performance) are considered in planning.

19. Evaluate new technologies and frameworks to guide technical strategy and ensure scalability and sustainability of the SaaS platform.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Project Manager with SaaS application development experience.
• Advanced expertise in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to translate complex concepts into accessible terms for stakeholders.
• Proficiency in strategic planning, stakeholder alignment, and resource allocation for digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or other product and project management platforms.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certifications.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or CAPM certification.
• Agile certifications such as SAFe or PMI-ACP.
