Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shop Manager to lead our retail operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily store activities, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management to drive sales and maintain operational excellence. Bilingual abilities and prior supervisory experience are highly valued to effectively communicate with diverse teams and customers. The Shop Manager will play a pivotal role in implementing marketing strategies, managing budgets, and fostering a positive shopping environment.
Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance.
- Oversee daily store operations, including merchandising, pricing, inventory purchasing, and POS transactions.
- Manage payroll, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets through effective marketing and customer engagement.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Monitor store performance metrics and prepare reports on sales, inventory levels, and staffing needs.
- Coordinate with vendors for purchasing supplies and managing store merchandise displays.
- Enforce store policies related to safety, cleanliness, and operational procedures in compliance with company standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in retail management or store supervision with strong leadership capabilities.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management.
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative functions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage customers effectively.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases better.
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, budgeting, marketing, and team management is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in retail sales combined with supervisory responsibilities will be advantageous for success in this role.
