We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice at Midtown Smiles in beautiful Belmont Village. In this essential role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing front desk operations with efficiency and professionalism. Your energetic approach will help streamline patient flow, coordinate appointments, and support the overall smooth functioning of our clinic. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their insurance coverage, and confirm appointment details to ensure a positive experience from the moment they walk in.
- Schedule, reschedule, and manage patient appointments using Tracker
- Verify insurance benefits, process claims, and handle billing inquiries with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collect payments and maintain precise financial records.
- Facilitate communication between patients and dental providers by answering multi-line phone systems professionally and courteously.
- Review documentation such as treatment plans, care instructions, and medical histories to support accurate recordkeeping.
- Maintain organized filing of medical records, dental charts, and administrative documents while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with health information management standards.
- Support clinic operations by performing clerical duties with good typing skills, filing documents, and managing office supplies.
- Coordinate patient intake processes efficiently by collecting necessary information and updating electronic records accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all interactions.
- Sterilizing instruments and maintaining sterilization records and maintenance records. Good knowledge of IPAC requirements is essential.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a Dental Receptionist for 5 years in a dental office environment is highly preferred.
- Dental assisting background is needed.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Tracker dental Software is essential.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and insurance verification processes is required.
- Experience with CDCP billing, collections and predetermination procedures is advantageous.
- Familiarity with health information management standards including HIPAA regulations is necessary to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with phone etiquette, professional appearance, and positive attitude are vital for success in this role.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) are required for daily administrative tasks.

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
