Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, along with knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Provide patient education on oral health and post-treatment care
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow, similar to a dental receptionist role
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns throughout their visit
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in dental softwares.
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Certification or experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training opportunities may be available for qualified candidates
