Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Dental Assistant located in Ottawa. The Dental Assistant will assist dentists during procedures, prepare and organize dental instruments, and ensure patient comfort. Responsibilities also include sterilizing equipment, managing patient records, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. The Dental Assistant will collaborate with the dental team to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in assisting with dental procedures, preparing equipment, and maintaining a clean work environment
  • Knowledge of patient care, including explaining oral hygiene practices and addressing patient questions
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, such as managing patient records and appointment scheduling
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with patients and team members
  • Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting or a related field is required
  • Experience in a dental care setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and tools is an asset
