ABOUT THE ROLE
The position serves as a territory ambassador for S&S Activewear, focusing on face-to-face customer meetings to present products, strengthen relationships, and grow customer investment. Responsibilities include showcasing new products, understanding distributor business models, merchandising showrooms, and conducting road visits to maintain engagement. Additionally, the role requires handling email and phone inquiries, proactively following up with customers, and promoting S&S Activewear offerings through marketing initiatives and quoting opportunities.
Internally, the role involves regular reporting, team collaboration, and sales meetings to discuss customer feedback and industry insights. The position does not require direct supervision but demands strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, along with the ability to work independently. A background in sales, business acumen, problem-solving, and strategic thinking is highly beneficial. Travel is required, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and various company systems is essential.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Customer Face-to-Face Meetings
- Present the S&S Activewear product line passionately and persuasively.
- Serve as an ambassador for S&S Activewear within the assigned territory.
- Drive customer spend and grow territory sales.
- Understand distributor business models to present S&S Activewear products and services compellingly.
- Deliver product knowledge presentations showcasing new products, top sellers, decoration options, and marketing strategies.
- Build and maintain a customer contact list and profiles.
- Gather customer feedback, address issues, and provide solutions.
- Identify program and spot-buy opportunities to position S&S Activewear styles for distributor pitches.
- Merchandise customer showrooms with product samples, catalogs, and print collateral.
- Maintain a regular road visit cycle to stay top-of-mind and strengthen customer relationships.
- Travel with the Director of Sales to meet key accounts, develop account-specific plans, and present rebate programs.
- Occasionally travel with inside sales and key account executives to focus on specific accounts.
- Email Inquiries & Follow-Up
- Respond promptly and effectively to inbound emails from customers and internal teams.
- Proactively follow up on ongoing customer opportunities.
- Regularly send outbound emails to top distributor sales reps to remain top-of-mind and identify quoting opportunities.
- Distribute monthly territory e-blasts to keep customers informed of S&S Activewear initiatives.
- Provide S&S Activewear product suggestions to customers to increase their spending share.
- Efficiently communicate policy updates to customers.
- Share information about promotions, product launches, and company initiatives.
- Handle ad hoc customer issues and escalations, ensuring solutions benefit both the customer and S&S Activewear.
- Phone Inquiries & Follow-Up
- Respond promptly and effectively to inbound calls from customers and internal teams.
- Proactively follow up on customer opportunities.
- Make outbound calls to top distributor sales reps to maintain relationships and explore quoting opportunities.
- Offer S&S Activewear product suggestions to customers during inbound calls.
- Coordinate customer service and decoration service requests with internal teams.
- Reporting & Internal Meetings
- Provide weekly updates to Sales Management on opportunities, customer feedback, and industry insights.
- Participate in monthly sales conference calls.
- Regularly meet with the Inside Sales Rep partner to review account lists and develop account-specific strategies.
- Attend S&S Activewear sales meetings 2-3 times per year.
- Supervision
- No direct supervision required.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Sales Training: Completion of a reputable professional sales association program is preferred (e.g., Canadian Professional Sales Association).
- Experience: 4–5 years of sales experience.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Presentation: Ability to passionately and energetically present company products and services in a compelling manner.
- Negotiation & Influence: Strong negotiating skills with the ability to effectively influence customers.
