Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate hot side Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in the kitchen, ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
  • Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management.
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality.
  • Participate in training sessions for new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
  • Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
