With the support of generous donors and community partners, we aim to help countless families access school supplies, healthy meals, and essential clothing.
As a Human Resources Volunteer, you will play a key role in supporting our growing team by managing recruitment, onboarding, and volunteer engagement. Your work will help ensure that staff and volunteers are supported, informed, and aligned with Better Days Foundation's mission.
Responsibilities
- Create and post volunteer and staff job postings across appropriate platforms
- Screen resumes and assist with interviewing and hiring processes
- Coordinate onboarding for new volunteers and team members
- Maintain up-to-date volunteer records and documentation
- Communicate with volunteers to ensure tasks, duties, and expectations are clear
- Monitor volunteer engagement and follow up to ensure responsibilities are being met
- Support a positive, inclusive, and organized volunteer experience
- Collaborate with leadership to address staffing and volunteer needs
Qualifications
- Based in Calgary, Alberta (or surrounding area)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Experience in human resources, recruitment, or volunteer coordination is an asset but not required
- Passion for community service and social impact
