Our Labour Pool offers a unique opportunity to perform a wide variety of on-call tasks that support our operations. This role allows you to build new skills and earn supplemental income, while contributing to the growth and development of the community.

What you'll do
As a member of the Community Labour Pool, you will be called upon to assist with a variety of tasks across different sectors. Some on-call duties may include:
General Labour
- Snow removal
- Groundskeeping
- Gardening
- Driving/deliveries
- Packing/moving
Ticketed Labour (must have certification):
- Janitorial
- Maintenance
- Traffic Control and Security
- Preparing/Serving Food
Clean-up
- Yard and home
- Moving and Warehouse assistance
Office Help
- Filing
- Data entry
- General office help
Special Events
- Set up/tear down/clean-up
- Event work
- Shopping
Other Duties:
- Additional tasks as required, based on the needs of Seabird Island.
Working/Special Conditions:
- Initial and ongoing employment is subject to submission of a clear Criminal Record Check to ensure the safety and trust of the communities we serve. This check will be conducted every five years.
- Initial and ongoing commitment to the values and guidelines of Sq'éwqel (Seabird Island Band), including our policies, procedures, standards of practice, and laws, is essential. This commitment supports our collective work, the community, and the responsibilities of this role.
